Discover Fairmont Grand Del Mar: Equestrian Experience & Canyon Walk

Step outside the traditional networking event and join the San Diego Chapter of Millennials in Travel for a refreshing morning immersed in nature at Fairmont Grand Del Mar.

Wednesday, September 16, 2026
10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Fairmont Grand Del Mar | San Diego, CA

We'll begin the morning in the resort lobby before heading down to meet Fairmont Grand Del Mar's equestrian residents for a behind-the-scenes look at one of the resort's most unique experiences.

From there, we'll embark on a scenic guided nature walk into Los Peñasquitos Canyon Preserve, surrounded by the dramatic canyon landscape that sits just beyond the resort grounds.

Along the way, enjoy fresh air, meaningful conversation, and the opportunity to connect with fellow travel professionals in a setting designed to slow down, recharge, and experience a different side of luxury hospitality.

Set across 400 acres, Fairmont Grand Del Mar offers an impressive collection of outdoor and wellness experiences, including equestrian trail rides, yoga, meditation, archery, a private Tom Fazio-designed golf course, a Forbes Five-Star spa, four pools, and six dining venues, including San Diego's only three-Michelin-starred restaurant, Addison.

Following the walk, guests will enjoy a complimentary signature fresh juice from Amaya, courtesy of Fairmont Grand Del Mar.

Space is limited to 25 attendees and tickets are $15 per person. Millennials in Travel members can use their MIT ID for complimentary access to two events. Membership can also be selected as an add-on when registering for the event.

This event is open to millennial travel professionals, so feel free to invite your industry friends and colleagues.

We hope you'll join us for a morning of nature, connection, and a closer look at one of San Diego's most distinctive luxury resorts.

Careers grow through connections. Life grows through community.

That’s why Millennials in Travel exists.

Our industry is built on relationships, but the most meaningful connections often happen outside the boardroom, sales call, or conference floor. They happen over shared experiences, conversations, celebrations, and moments like these.

Millennials in Travel was created to bring together the next generation of travel professionals, travel advisors, hoteliers, destination partners, tour operators, and suppliers, to build genuine relationships that support both personal and professional growth.

Because when you find your people, something special happens. Opportunities are shared. Ideas are exchanged. Friendships are formed. Careers advance. Communities thrive.

Thank you to everyone who continues to show up, support one another, and make this organization what it is. We are excited to keep growing together.

If you’re looking for your community in travel, we’d love to welcome you to a future event.
