Our next resort was the Majestic Elegance in Punta Cana. Honestly the comparison between both properties is bananas to kale. Once we arrived at the Elegance and being in the Elegance Club we were greeted with cool hand towels and non alcoholic drinks. We went into the Elegance Club reception area where we was checked in, assigned a personal butler and also offered some pastries. Our butler was Jesus and he was beyond awesome. He gave us a tour of the Elegance, showing us the restaurant's, main theater and lazy river pool. He showed us our Elegance Club members only pool area's, beach area's, bars and where to get and return the towels for the beach and pool. He took us to our room which was stunning. The king bed, the whirlpool bath, the square toilet (interesting to navigate drunk). Our balcony overlooked the Elegance Club adults only pool and beach. He had a bottle of champagne and a fruit platter in our room. Martine told Jesus it was my birthday on the 17th and man if he didn't run with that. They tied a "Happy Birthday" banner on our door. On my birthday at the French restaurant I got a cake, and a song lol. Came back to the room decorated with balloons and another "Happy Birthday" banner inside over the whirlpool bath. The next night the bath was ran with bubbles and rose petals. Just an overall amazing experience. The food was good at the buffet and the French restaurant was an experience. We had an intimate gathering at the Italian restaurant were our group learned how to make a Coco Mango Mojito. That was cool and good too.
Being that we had full exchange privileges we ventured to the Mirage and had a blast partying with the DDT travel group. That property is adults only and every room has a butler. The Colonial is for families along with some of the Elegance. All 3 resorts have huge pools and beautiful stretches of beach. The beach was beautiful, they had seaweed also but not like the Blue Bay and we could get in the water. Table side service on the beach and pool and the adult side bar has Hennessy Privilege ( the only bar where I saw it). This property I would recommend in a heartbeat. The staff is impeccable and the experience is something I'll remember forever. I give the Majestic Elegance 4.75 stars.

Our first 3 nights and 4 days we stayed at the Blue Bay Club. This property is located in Punta Cana. This is a nice boutique resort. Small and inviting. The staff was attentive and remembered your name, drink, etc. The property was beautiful with the room categories being Junior Suites, 2 and 3 bedroom suites and Penthouse whirlpool bath suites. We stayed in a junior suite in the main building. The other rooms were in the other buildings in the property. They have a nice pool thats split into some smaller pools for children and lounging and a bigger central pool where they have their pool activities and foam parties. Our room was nice but our view wasn't to be desired. We looked off into the city with 3 tower cranes visible. The food wasn't bad but we didn't like the snack shack by the beach. We ate there twice and unfortunately was disappointed twice. The Japanese restaurant was good and the main buffet was also tasty. The drinks was good, and plentiful lol. The beach, ah the beach unfortunately its located in a spot thet gets alot of seaweed. The seaweed was thick and for us un-swimmable (and it stunk like rotten eggs). The other guests were from all over the world and we had good conversations with those we did spend some time with. Overall its a nice resort with an awesome staff I'd give the Blue Bay Club 3.5 stars.

Recently we got to travel to the Dominican Republic. We spent 6 nights and 7 days in that beautiful country. We stayed at 2 resorts, the Blue Bay Grand for the first 3 nights 4 days and for our remaining stay we were at the Majestic Elegance. Both resorts are in Punta Cana. I'll be giving my review on both properties along with pictures shortly. Thanks.
