Ok so now I’m a babbling mess!!! Robin and I cleaned out our pantry and cabinets of food we are not supposed to partake in. Today was the first chance I had to drop it off. My food bank of choice is at the Osceola Council on Aging as they help Alzheimer’s patients. The girl helped me unload my car and rolled the groceries inside. As I was standing there, another woman was standing there a little emotional with paperwork in her hand from a funeral home. They asked her if she had a way to heat up food and she slowly shook her head yes. The team went back in and about a 1/3rd of what I just dropped off came right back out the door for her. The young lady that helped me unload my car looked over at me and winked, when she handed me my forms she quietly said thank you for bringing those items. I grabbed my form and hurried into the car to let my tears fly. We are so fortunate and blessed my friends. All of us are in our own way. Now go out there and do something nice for someone...I have to find some tissues dammit!!!

Day two is well underway. Lots of water and breakfast shake have been consumed. I’m pretty sure I’m down about 2 1/2 ounces thus far...(positive vibes).

If you’ll note in one of the photos they were selling yard sticks as antiques for $9. I have like 6 at the house. I did not realize they were so valuable. The things you learn.....

Day one continued....

We’ve been so crazy busy being tourists everyday we have yet to post anything about our trip. Well here goes nothing...

Day one: breakfast at a great place called the Times Square Diner. In fact we’ve been there 4 of the 5 days we’ve been here. Next Bryant Park market, we come every time we are here to browse local vendors and wish we had a way to transport stuff home. Then completely by mistake we found the Kellogg’s restaurant where you can get breakfast cereal all day long. The day we found it, it had been transformed into a Girl Scout cookie store. Thin mints to the ceiling!!!! I didn’t buy any though. We also stumbled across the Dr Marten store!!!!! I was in heaven. I also discovered that we were close to the flower district so what’s a girl to do but take your flower loving wife there....so I did.

When you’re bored and at the airport waiting to pick someone up, you become part of the scenery. Wave at passengers, make them feel the love, invite them into the store you have become a part of.....for goodness sake have fun!!!!! Have an adventure where ever you go today.

Sometimes adventures you have planned change or get adjusted. Ours did early this morning when Robin’s phone rang at 12:45am. Mom was on the other end and was stranded in Charlotte. Her flight home had been cancelled and now she found herself staying the night. The only flight home this morning was to Orlando not Gainesville where she lives. So what are we to do but rescue mom from the airport. Im thinking we probably shouldn’t make the “Welcome home from rehab....we are so proud of you” poster right? Stay tuned for the rest of our adventures today.
