Pointers Travel is a solution for any tourist destination in Croatia. Primarily a mobile application, Pointers Travel was created to raise visibility of the destination’s content by mixing up-to-date digital technology, like drone and VR 360° video and photo footage, with popular social media channels like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Youtube. This means that Pointers Travel is currently available on more than 7 internet platforms, a free mobile app for Android and iOS included.

Pointers came into play as a response to the changes in tourist profiles and trends and is the first project in Croatia which initiated the process of successful digitisation of the tourist-economic sector. Thanks to our unique approach, we have received an incredible amount of support from the Croatian Tourist Board, Croatian Ministry of Tourism, Croatian Chamber of Commerce and Croatian Institute for Tourism. We were invited to ITB Berlin 2017 as key speakers on the topic of “Successful digitisation of Croatian tourism offer”, we were recognised as “Heroes of digital age” and we were listed under top 10 travel digital solutions in our region.
Here, at Pointers, we are aware that tourism and travel sector is in the process of digital transformation and those actively involved in the sector have to modify themselves in order to remain competitive and cater to consumers needs and demands. Modern tourists aren't choosing their destination for the sake of the destination anymore – instead, they demand substantial quantities of quality information such as which places offer freshly home-cooked meals and which offer fast food, where to have a cup of coffee, where to sleep, are there any attractions to see and are there any events nearby. This means that service providers need to invest a lot of time and effort into gathering all the information and deciding on how to share it, as well as developing responsive websites adapted for mobile devices, apps and running social media accounts. We know it sounds like a lot of work, which is why here at Pointers Travel we do all of that for you. We provide our services to more than 50 Tourist Boards across Croatia - thanks to this cooperation we have more than 15 000 points of interest covered, 40 000 pictures, 220 drone and 100 VR video materials which we have managed to reach more than 6 million people with.
