A beautiful smile can change a child’s confidence, health, and future. ❤️

As part of the Black2Zanzibar experience, we are proud to launch Smiles for Zanzibar — a dental hygiene giveback initiative supporting 60 children at the Maftuh Foundation Orphanage Center.

Through this initiative, we will provide:

🪥 Toothbrushes
🦷 Toothpaste
✨ Dental floss
📚 Oral hygiene education

Because something as simple as access to basic dental care can make a huge difference in a child’s life — helping prevent cavities, improve overall health, and build confidence.

But we can’t do this alone.

We’ve created an Amazon donation list where you can easily contribute hygiene supplies that will go directly to the children.

📌 Sad But True Stats
• ~500 million girls & women globally lack access to safe, affordable menstrual products every month. 

• In Tanzania and Zanzibar, many girls cannot afford pads and are forced to use ragged cloth or unsafe alternatives.

• Only about 30% of schools in Zanzibar provide menstrual hygiene items for girls, leaving the majority without what they need. 

• Lack of products + private, clean facilities = girls missing school, falling behind, and facing stigma & shame. 

🌸 Why This Matters
When girls don’t have period products or proper hygiene support, they miss school, lose confidence, and miss opportunities, all because of something natural.
