Unfortunately we're having to cancel the two remaining yoga classes for October.

We will be bringing classes back in November, though! Classes will resume at 9 a.m. on Nov. 7, 14, and 21.

🥾 Group Hike: Bark Camp Lake Loop ( 8 AM, Bark Camp Recreation Area). Registration required. Email [email protected] or call (276) 679-3103 to register. No participation fee but a $3 day use fee is required to park at the trailhead.

We're excited to partner with Southern Appalachian Wilderness Stewards (SAWS) to host an Intro to Traditional Tools Course at the Destination Center later this month! Check out what to expect below.

🪚 The event will include a classroom day on Oct. 24 where folks can learn about crosscut saws and how these antique tools are used to manage wilderness areas on national forestlands. Participants will also learn about the work SAWS is doing in the High K**b Region's Stone Mountain Wilderness.

🪚 On Sunday, Oct. 25, participants are invited to a trail work day on the U.S. Forest Service's Clinch Ranger District where they will be able to use a crosscut saw.

🪚 Attendance at both days is not required but is encouraged. If attending the field day, participants are encouraged to bring water, lunch, and wear long pants and sturdy shoes. Gloves, safety glasses and hard hats will be provided.

Don't forget! Join Teresa Mullins of The Healing Leaf for an Herbal Tea Tasting event this Saturday, October. 10, at the Destination Center!

Herbal tea tastings will be held from 3-6 p.m. with short presentations about the ingredients of each tea held at 3 p.m., 4 p.m., and 5 p.m.
