JUST tried the Waldorf Astoria New York's Japanese restaurant. The two items that stood out the most were the Miyazaki A5 Wagyu Striploin & the Unagi Donabe. In my experience over the past decade, Japanese restaurants have the best steaks & mushroom dishes.

When I'm visiting a new city, I always try to start my first full day at a local market. In Kansas City, that's The City Market, which is open daily, has a farmers' market on weekends and is easy accessible via the KC Streetcar.
