Consider this your warning, witches are coming to Oak Island.

The Oak Island Witches Ride is back on October 24th, and if you haven't experienced it yet, this is the year. Riders (walking, golf carts, and yes, still no bikes required) make their way between local restaurants and bars throughout the day, all dressed up and ready for a good time. No registration needed, just a suggested $10 donation, with proceeds going to Sea Biscuit Wildlife Shelter and Oak Island Water Rescue.

The day wraps up with the Witches Dance at Middleton Park, so plan to stick around for that. If you're coming from out of town, we've got beach houses close to all the action.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and here on Oak Island that means one thing: Pledge the Pink 🎀

Pledge the Pink is back October 15-18, and it's honestly one of the best weekends the island has all year. About 1,500 women walk, run, and even crawl their way through 30 miles over three days, all to raise money for breast cancer research. If you've ever been on the island that weekend, you know the energy is unmatched, pink everywhere, strangers cheering each other on, the whole community showing up.

Whether you're taking part or just visiting that weekend, wear pink with us! It's a small way to show support for a cause that's touched so many families here.
