CCIS Travel is pleased to formally announce the promotion of Carlie Widdifield to Vice President of Operations. In this strategic leadership role, she will oversee on-site operational functions, focusing on modernizing, scaling, and managing the logistical, administrative, and technological aspects of our 33-year-old, family-owned, student-focused group travel business.

Leading a dedicated team of 13 full- and part-time employees, including specialized staff, Carlie will assume daily operational responsibilities previously managed by ownership. She will work collaboratively with the team to ensure efficient operations and will spearhead efforts to develop scalable infrastructure. This includes managing the transition from our proprietary software to a modern, integrated trip-planning and customer relationship management platform to support the company’s ongoing growth beyond current sales levels.

Regarding her promotion, Widdifield stated, “I am honored to take on this new position with CCIS and am confident in my abilities and experience to lead effectively. My prior experience ranges from the Disney College Program to roles such as Program Coordinator of Graduate Studies, WDW VIP Tour Guide, and Safety Department personnel at a trucking company, culminating in four years of operational leadership with CCIS. Over this time, I have grown professionally, recently earning the Certified Student Travel Organization (CSTO) designation for the organization and the Certified Student Travel Professional (CSTP) credential for myself. I look forward to leading the operations team and contributing to CCIS’s continued growth and success.”

Widdifield is an alumnus of Rowan University(NJ), holding a M.A. in Strategic Communications, a B.A. in Public Relations, and an A.A. in Communications from Cumberland County College. She actively participates in several industry associations, including the SYTA: Student and Youth Travel Association and the American Bus Association (ABA) Her committee involvement includes the Women In Buses Council (WIB), WIB’s Marketing & Membership Committee, and SYTA’s Communications Committee.

We are proud to announce that Carlie Widdifield has earned the designation of Certified Student Travel Professional (CSTP) through the Student & Youth Travel Association (SYTA)!

This certification recognizes Carlie’s knowledge, experience, and expertise in the student and youth travel industry.
