Oconomowoc Tours and Events

Our Oconomowoc History and Food Tours are available on a variety of Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays starting at 1:00 or we can make arrangements that work for you and your group on the weekends and evenings.

The Oconomowoc History and Food Tour is a walking tour throughout downtown Oconomowoc - Main Street and Wisconsin Avenue. You will be learning the history about the buildings, businesses, events and people throughout downtown Oconomowoc.

There will be 3 - 5 food stops in which you can sit, relax and learn more about the restaurant's history while sampling their food. The food samples and restaurants change with each tour. The tour takes about 2- 2 1/2 hours and less than 1.5 miles of walking - depending on which tour you choose.

Sundays are special, I offer a History & Sweets tour and late afternoon special food tours.

Yesterday we had perfect weather for the Oconomowoc History and Food Tour. The group enjoyed food samples from Fresh Baked, Cornerstone, Ginger Ovens, Etcetera, Mullen's and a treat from Maxim's at Oconomowoc Depot.

There will be 5 food stops in which you can sit, relax and learn more about the restaurant's history while sampling their food. The sample food changes with each tour. The tour takes about 2 1/2 hours and about 1.5 miles of walking.

If you have any questions, please contact us. If you have a private party of a minimum of 3 people I usually can accommodate dates and times to work out for you and your small group.

We currently have 12 restaurants/businesses that we rotate with each tour - which includes: Cornerstone, Maxim's at Oconomowoc Depot, Etcetera, Whelan's, Violet Table, Fresh Baked, Ginger Ovens, May the Pork be With You, Mullen's, Sweet P's. Bella Gusto and Twin Scoops.

In addition to the History and Food Tours, we offer a History Walking Tour (no food stops) through downtown Oconomowoc. The tour takes about 1 1/2 hours, total walk 1 mile and your guide will provide you with a booklet of "yesterday" pictures to view while walking. The cost is $15.00 per person.
