Can’t wait to see the finished game and play!🤩
Many of the local businesses already know about this project, but for some people this may be the first time hearing about it.
I am creating an Old Forge board game featuring our local businesses and many of the other things that make our town such a great place to live and visit!
This has been a huge project and a much longer process than I ever anticipated. It turns out a lot more goes into creating a board game than I thought, and along the way I learned about myself too, mostly that I am WAY more particular than I realized!
I’ve poured countless hours into this project, and while it’s taking a little longer than I originally hoped, I believe it will be worth the wait!
My goal is to create something that captures an Old Forge summer. The game is inspired by the classic board game LIFE, but with an Adirondack twist.
Players become visitors or locals experiencing a summer in Old Forge! You’ll make memories, take on adventures, visit and stay at local businesses, take on summer jobs, spend money, and navigate all the unexpected moments that make every summer here AMAZING.
Today, I’m excited to finally reveal the name:
Forge Ahead: The Old Forge Vacation Game.
This is just the beginning, within the next coming weeks I’ll be sharing more of my process of making this game before it officially comes out!
