I just saw this online & thought it explained why travel agents are still relevant & wanted to share.
🤩💕👏🏻🌎✈️🛳️❤️
People often ask why travel agents still exist in a world where the internet makes it easy to book flights, hotels, and holidays yourself. My answer is simple: travel is like a cup of coffee.
You can always make coffee at home. It’s cheaper, you know exactly what goes into it, and if it tastes terrible, you’ve only got yourself to blame. You’re not a professional barista, but you can still get the job done and save a bit of money. The same applies to travel - you can plan everything yourself online, compare prices, and arrange every detail. But, like homemade coffee, it takes time, effort, and a fair bit of trial and error.
Now think about coffee shops. They exist because people are happy to pay for expertise, convenience, and a better experience. You can make coffee at home, but sometimes you’d rather have someone else brew it for you, froth the milk, clean the cups, and maybe serve it with a delicious slice of cake. You’re paying not just for coffee, but for skill, service, and the pleasure of having it done right. If it’s not quite right, you can send it back.
The same logic applies to travel agents. You may be perfectly capable of booking a trip yourself, but travel agents add value through their knowledge, personal service, and attention to detail. They can find deals, recommend destinations you hadn’t considered, and tailor every element of your trip to your preferences.
So please keep me in mind when you don’t want to deal with all the details of booking your own trip!
