After a walk through Lauritzen Gardens, we were hungry for dinner. is just a short drive from the Gardens, or any of the holiday light displays featured in or around downtown Omaha. If you’re in the area, stop in for their homemade, warm and buttery garlic knots and a local pie. We selected the Caprese, but honestly they all looked delish!

With the street construction in the neighborhood, bring your patience but it will be worth it! This was our first time at Noli’s 🍕 and we wanted to support a local business that has suffered from the road work preparing our city for the street car. Stop in and give this business some love. ❤️ They put their heart into the food and it shows. We will be back soon!

This year’s Bright Nights at has a Scandinavian theme complete with ornaments made from wheat, trees made from upcycled wooden pallets and an incredible poinsettia tree in the main hall.

If you’ve attended the show in the past, you know what to expect but we promise you will find something new to delight in this year! Be sure to take a walk outside to see the newly completed Sophia’s Play Garden. The lights are magical for young and old alike.

Purchase your tickets through the Garden’s website. You’ll need to select your date and arrival time too. The show runs through January 4. Closed for Christmas and New Year’s Day.

We had the best afternoon at Smash Park! We played a few rounds of darts 🎯 and enjoyed the Buffalo Chicken Dip appetizer. The chip to dip ratio was 💯 perfection!

We tried our hand at pickleball and had so much fun we decided we should take lessons. Smash Park LaVista offers clinics and tournaments on their indoor and outdoor courts.

We got hungry after a game of corn hole and shuffleboard and headed inside where Taylor, the best bartender, fixed a fabulous Brown Sugar Bourbon Martini 🍸 and Apple Pie Moscow Mule. We shared the Smoked BBQ Sampler for 2 which was finger licking good and the perfect amount of food. For dessert, we had bites of the decadent four layer chocolate cake. The food here is so good!😊

We can’t wait to go back for the FREE Yard Opening Party on Friday, May 30 from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm. Diamond Empire Band will be playing an all ages show and there’s no cover charge! Put this one on your calendar. 📅 You don’t want to miss it! 🤩

A group of co-workers grabbed lunch at the new and we all loved the place. They have beautiful and tasty burgers, some Mexican and Asian fusion foods and TACOs! I’ve tried a lot of street style tacos and these have to be some of the metro’s best! Just the right amount heat, crunch with the pickled onions and so flavorful!

It’s a big place but it’s busy, even during lunch time so make reservations to save time waiting. They have delicious appetizers- personal favorite was the brussels sprouts with the chili crunch! I’ll be back to check out the bar soon. The three old fashioned cocktails listed looked tasty.

It’s off menu, so you have to ask, but has a flavorful selection of margs that will tempt the taste buds! Pick three of your favorites or go with something new. Tonight’s flight includes the Blood Orange 🍊, Bahama Mama 🍍 and Fresh all three with real fruit juice!

There’s a reason why La Mesa is consistently voted best of Omaha!

Tonight, the cooler weather has us in a fall mood! just dropped their Pumpkin Vanilla Bean Blonde Ale today and we are here for it! Made right here in this brew is not to be missed. Only here for the season and no better reason than to head to the patio with a pint, a few friends and enjoy a perfect brew.

Not a pumpkin fan? Try their Okterberfest! It dropped today too!

Too hot to be outside? We agree! Head over to for a cool margarita, house made chips, house made guacamole and their huge selection of tequila and mezcal.

Better yet, grab your friends and book a tequila tasting with their expert owners Robbie and Jules. These two are so knowledgeable about all things tequila and mezcal. Hook and Line has 140 different tequilas to try and the ones we sampled were so good. This was a great learning experience for our group. We will definitely be back for more tacos, house made churros with warm chocolate sauce and so much more!
