The Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera opened exactly 25 years ago today at Universal Studios Florida. While the original ride may have given way to Jimmy Neutron's Nicktoon Blast and is now the home of Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem, it's legacy still lives on two decades later with Intamin's motion-simulation system (built for TFWOHB's opening) still in use today, and expanded for such following Universal attractions as Back to the Future: The Ride in both Orlando and Hollywood, as well as it's replacement, The Simpsons Ride, and was most recently duplicated at Universal Studios Hollywood for the opening of their Despicable Me ride last year.
