Friday Feature: Disney Castaway Cay
You will find beautiful, soft, white sand and turquoise water surrounded by lush palm trees, walking paths, and plenty of food on this Disney exclusive port stop.
The water is so clear that even the fish are clear! Snorkel to find some hidden Disney props, enjoy the water slide, lounge on a beach chair (there are plenty), a hammock, or in the sand.
Your Disney Cruise Line staff will provide you with towels when you arrive on the island so no need to worry about that. There will be food available in a full buffet lunch along with self service ice cream, fruit, and drinks.
The youth activity counselors will host supervised activities at the port (including a Teen Hideout) and there is an adult only section of the beach that parents can visit while their kids are safely having fun there.
You will find plenty of activities (some for a small rental fee) such as biking, walking or running trails (you can earn a medal if you do the 5K loop), a climbing structure on the path, volleyball, tetherball, soccer, kayaking, paddling, sailing, sand castle fun, swimming, and more. And, of course, there will be music, dancing, shopping, and some surprise character visits! I love this port because there is so much safe fun to be had right off the ship without needing to book anything in advance. But, if you are wanting more adventure, excursions are available to pre-book as well.
