No worries; we are ok. We survived and are doing great.

But that doesn’t mean we don’t think about the lack of support we should have received.

And sometimes you just gotta find the humor in the sad reality because laughing makes you feel better than crying.

If you’re a single mom reading this… I hope you know you’re doing a better job than you give yourself credit for. 🤍

And if you know a single mom, this post is not about feeling sorry for her.

It’s about understanding her.

Understanding that she may look “fine” while carrying the weight of an entire household on her shoulders.

That she’s making decisions alone.
Paying bills alone.
Holding everyone together while trying not to fall apart herself.

It’s understanding why she’s tired.
Why she protects her peace.
Why she sometimes disappears socially.
Why support means more than people realize.

Most single moms are not asking to be rescued.

But being seen, included, respected and supported in small ways matters more than you know. 🤍

So if you have a single mom in your life…
check on her.
Invite her.
Encourage her.
Remind her she’s not carrying it all unnoticed.

And to the single moms reading this:
I see you. You’re doing an incredible job. 🤍

Time doesn’t offer a refund.

And that’s the heartbreaking part about abandonment people don’t always understand…

kids eventually stop expecting someone who continuously chooses not to show up.

So we built a life anyway. ❤️

A peaceful one.
A stable one.
A happy one.

A life filled with laughter, traditions, hard conversations, healing, growth, beach days, school events, dinner table talks, and little moments that slowly became our entire story.

Because even when one parent disappears, childhood keeps moving forward. ⏳

The years still pass.
The milestones still happen.
The bond still grows with the parent who stayed.

Time doesn’t pause waiting for someone to decide to care later.

And one day, the life they missed becomes a life they no longer fit naturally into.

That isn’t bitterness.
It’s the reality of what consistent absence creates.

As a full-time single mom, I’ve learned children remember who made them feel safe, loved, supported, and chosen every single day. ❤️

For generations, women were taught marriage was security.

Security meant a paycheck.
A roof over your head.
Someone to “take care” of things.
A support system.

But this generation of women?
We became the providers too (while actually married).

We built careers.
Bought the homes.
Raised the kids.
Paid the bills.
Created stability with our own two hands.

So now when women stay single, it’s not because we “couldn’t find someone.”

It’s because peace became more valuable than potential.
Calm became more attractive than chaos.
And freedom became harder to give up once we finally experienced it.

That’s why so many women would rather come home to their dog than a relationship that drains them emotionally. 😂🐾

Because once you’ve created your own security…you stop romanticizing struggle.

And honestly?
That shift changed everything.
