Time doesn’t offer a refund.
And that’s the heartbreaking part about abandonment people don’t always understand…
kids eventually stop expecting someone who continuously chooses not to show up.
So we built a life anyway. ❤️
A peaceful one.
A stable one.
A happy one.
A life filled with laughter, traditions, hard conversations, healing, growth, beach days, school events, dinner table talks, and little moments that slowly became our entire story.
Because even when one parent disappears, childhood keeps moving forward. ⏳
The years still pass.
The milestones still happen.
The bond still grows with the parent who stayed.
Time doesn’t pause waiting for someone to decide to care later.
And one day, the life they missed becomes a life they no longer fit naturally into.
That isn’t bitterness.
It’s the reality of what consistent absence creates.
As a full-time single mom, I’ve learned children remember who made them feel safe, loved, supported, and chosen every single day. ❤️
