Can we just take a moment for this view?! This is a real cenote in the Yucatán Peninsula — an ancient natural swimming hole that the Mayans considered sacred — and YES I swam in it! 🏊‍♀️🌿

PROGRESO, MEXICO — and I am spreading my arms wide open because this moment deserves ALL of it! 🇲🇽

My dad always talked about Chichen Itza. For years I heard about the wonder of these ancient Mayan ruins and honestly thought "someday." Well today was SOMEDAY. 🙏 And standing here knowing he would have loved every single second of it — that made it even more magical. ❤️

🇺🇸❤️ I was NOT prepared for this moment and I am not ashamed to say it brought me to tears. In the middle of the Gulf of Mexico, aboard Margaritaville at Sea Islander, this ship stopped everything to honor the men and women who serve and have served every branch of our United States military. 🎖️✨

Every deck packed. Every eye on that flag. A moment of pure gratitude and pride floating on the open sea. This is the kind of memory you didn't know you were going to make when you booked a cruise — and THAT is exactly why travel changes you. 🌊🙏
