Did you know Disney offers extended park hours for resort guests? That’s right! Staying on site gets you extra time in the parks when the crowds are more restricted and lines are shorter. But – there are different kinds of extended hours and knowing the differences may affect your planning!
All resort guests may enter the parks 30 minutes prior to natural park open. No additional requirements, just stay onsite to get in early.!
Extended Evening Hours at select parks allow guests to stay in the parks for extended hours after natural park close. These hours are open ONLY to guests at Deluxe Resorts, the additional cost of the resort may be worth the extra hours!
Special Ticketed Events at select parks allow guests additional time in the parks after natural park close. These are available to any guests of Disney rather than just resort guests, but these events are an additional cost (tickets required).

“Eating at Disney is SO EXPENSIVE!” You’re right, it is. I won’t deny it.. Let’s talk about some ways to help minimize those costs! Did you know Disney will allow you to bring a cooler into the parks? You can pre-pack lunches and take them in with you to save some cash. You can get grocery deliveries to your resort to make those lunches. Next tip, at quick service locations you can split larger portions. 1 meal to feed 2 saves every meal! Here is my favorite one – Disney is offering FREE dining plans for children (3-9) with adult purchase in 2026. That means you can pre-pay for your meals AND your kiddos eat “on the Mouse”! There are more tricks for saving cash, let me help you find them!

Did you know, the first question I generally ask my clients is if they have travelled to their chosen destination before and if so, did they have anything they loved (or hated) about that trip? It’s very important to me to know what you’ve enjoyed in the past and what you’d like to avoid! It’s not so I can duplicate that trip, I want you to have a unique vacation each time! It’s because I want to know what you enjoy, your “vibe” you might say. That helps me to find a comparable experience that will be enjoyable for your group without driving you crazy going through dozens of options that just aren’t the right fit. Did you know that every resort at Disney World is different? Themes, perks, accommodation sizes, views, and more all set each resort apart from the next. When we begin planning your trip I’ll ask some questions about what you’re looking for in your resort including how large of a space you’d like, if your group has any favorite themes or characters, and if you have a favorite (or least favorite) that you’ve stayed in before! Anyone else exhausted from the day to day that is life? I know I am! And I’ll be honest, before I started doing this every day, I never had the energy to plan my own vacations. I always said, “I’ll deal with it next week” or “if I get through this month things will calm down”. Days turned to weeks and weeks turned to months and then the dates we were planning on traveling are here and gone. Let someone else take care of the time-consuming part of planning your trip! You won’t regret having both a trip planned AND preserving your limited free time!

Here’s a confession for you – the first Disney trip I planned for a family was my own and it did NOT go as planned. But I learned so much from that experience and it was the real start of my drive to begin planning for other families. I had no idea what I was doing but I said, “how hard can it really be..?” and you know what? It was so much more than I anticipated! It was hard, I messed up, we missed out on things we were excited about, and I let it ruin my whole vacation. And I told myself I wanted to make sure that didn’t happen to anyone else. So here I am, promising you that I will do everything I can to make the planning process easy and help your trip to go smoothly!

1) You’re not even excited anymore, just stressed and ready for it to be over. You should be able to enjoy your vacation too! Let me help you keep yourself looking forward to the trip!
2) You’re spending more time googling than actually planning. It’s confusing, we know it’s a lot! Hand it to someone who’s done the research already.

Okay my friends, I’m going to tell you something that may surprise you. It’s about the BIGGEST mistake that I encounter when planning a Disney (or really any destination) vacation.
Did you know that weather is unpredictable? Or that the rides are, in fact, not run on pixie dust and can have mechanical breakdowns? Or that kiddos get overstimulated in new environments? What do all of these things potentially affect? That detailed, hour by hour itinerary we created.. That’s right, I said it. The more planned you are, the more stressed you will be when something goes wrong.
Listen, I’m a planner. I get it.. I drive my husband CRAZY making plans months in advance and knowing exactly what I want to accomplish each day. But you know what? We get there and those plans NEVER work out the way I mapped them out in my head. Even me, a travel professional who does this every single day, can’t keep to an hourly schedule. Instead, lets make a fluid, generalized daily plan that is realistic for you to stick to and cut out the stress! I promise we’ll still get all of your must do’s planned – we just won’t make you crazy with the schedule.

Park Hopping – is it worth it? That depends on you! Personally, I think switching parks is stressful! Catching a bus, standing in line, going through security, reestablishing myself in a new park for the day.. It can be a lot! But I also really enjoy it when I only have 2 days to spend at 4 parks. Or if I know for sure that 3 of my must do dining locations are in one park (Epcot right?!) and I want to be able to head over for dinner. “But why should I hire a Travel Agent? I can just book it myself!” You’re absolutely right, you can! And that is the best part! We aren’t doing anything crazy behind the scenes, using some crazy booking site you’ve never heard of, or keeping you in the dark about what we’re seeing. What I am doing behind the scene is keeping up with important dates, checking for discounts, keeping up with construction and travel updates, compiling details that will be helpful for your planning, monitoring for special events that may interest your group, and a hundred more things I won’t drag out the details on! And the best part? It doesn’t cost you anything additional to book with me! You will get the SAME price booking with me as you could on your own (as long as you know where to find the deals!). It doesn’t hurt anything to have extra help in your pocket right?

My favorite Disney World memory still brings the biggest smile to my face! Not the first time I visited. Or the first time I saw a Princess live and in person. Not even the first time I saw my favorite show (Festival of the Lion King, seriously don’t miss it!). My favorite Disney World memory was walking onto Main Street U.S.A with my husband’s hand in mine and seeing his face when he saw it all for the first time. The man who spent MONTHS telling me he wasn’t excited and it wasn’t for him, shook his head and said “this is not what I expected” with a Cheshire Cat grin on his face. The best trip I have ever had was that one, just the two of us, him experiencing it all for the first time. You’re never too old, it’s never too late, and you don’t need to have a special reason. Disney is for everyone.
