Leaving Rwanda 🇷🇼 and ending our adventure. Finished the day with a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial. We were aware of the atrocities but to see it in this beautiful museum-memorial is very emotional. Lunch at Hôtel des Mille Collines (thousand hills-so true) which is the location inspiration for the Hotel Rwanda. Then a city tour to see the amazing transformation from agrarian to modern city. Finally a huge market where locals sell everything from live animals to hardware.
We will be back to Africa sooner than later to explore more.
