Valencia adventures☀️

PLU kicked off day 5 with a brilliant tour of Valencia by the fabulous Sonia and Felipe, which was then followed by lunch at Muerde la pasta 🍝
After refuelling, the men’s team went head to head with Levante UD International squad , coming out on top with a 4-2 win! Meanwhile the womens team had a high intensity training session with Levante UD coaches ⚽️

Another fantastic day in Spain for PLU 🇪🇸

🇵🇹☀️ Tour Life in Portugal with Greenville University!

Greenville spent a day at Benfica’s elite training campus — with a double training session in world-class facilities.
Then on to a behind-the-scenes tour of the iconic Estádio da Luz 🏟️

Learning from the best while making memories that’ll last a lifetime.

Match day madness for PLU🔥 The PLU Men’s team kicked things off with an excellent performance, securing a 5-3 win over Marcet U19 . After the match, it was straight on the road to Valencia.

Upon arrival, the PLU Women’s team took the field for an exciting clash against Levante UD B . Despite a strong effort , they narrowly missed out with a 2-1 loss⚽️🤞

From mountain views to match night energy! 🏞️⚽

PLU started day 2 of their Barcelona adventure by exploring the stunning Montserrat, soaking in the culture and history. Later in the evening, both teams headed to Girona to catch an intense pre-season match under the lights: Girona FC vs. Wolverhampton. To end the day on a high, Girona came out on top with a 2–1 win! 🔥😀

🇺🇸 ⚽️ Sudbury Youth Soccer Association – North West England & North Wales Tour! ⚽️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

After 3 days in Scotland, we have spent an incredible three days in North West England and North Wales, where football history, competition, and culture came together to give our players an unforgettable experience!

🗓 Day 1
We kicked things off with a tour of Anfield, soaking in the history and atmosphere of one of football’s most iconic stadiums – home of Liverpool FC.
In the afternoon, we explored the vibrant city of Liverpool, taking in the sights before crossing into Wales to face tough local opposition in Connah’s Quay – a great test for our team and a fantastic way to open our playing schedule! 🔴⚽️

🗓 Day 2
The next morning brought another Premier League experience with a tour of the Etihad Stadium, home of Manchester City.
We then travelled to the historic Welsh town of Conwy, where players had some well-earned free time to explore the castle walls, local shops, and coastal views. 🏰🌊

🗓 Day 3
Our final day in the region took us to Wrexham, where we got a glimpse of the Racecourse Ground – home of the world’s third oldest professional football club, now globally recognised thanks to the Ryan Reynolds & Rob McElhenney ownership.
In the afternoon, we were lucky enough to train at the professional training facility of Wolverhampton Wanderers FC, before rounding off the day with a special team dinner at Molineux Stadium. 🐺⚽️🍽️

These three days were packed with football, culture, and unforgettable moments – setting the tone for what’s been an incredible UK tour so far.

Part 2 of England Tour 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Day 4:
Both teams headed north towards Chester after a great few days in London, on the way, the boys played in a thrilling game Vs Vasity 9 which saw them fall short in the last seconds of the game⚽️

Day 5:
The day started with a stadium tour of Anfield, home to the current Premier League champions🔴
After, the boys headed off for their final match heading off to Connah’s Quay for a brilliant, competitive game against their well experienced under 17s boys team. Although the game ended 0-0, both teams could have scored multiple goals which made for an intense game⚽️

The girls the transferred for their 2nd game of the tour to play against Connah’s Quay U17s and absolutely smashed it with a 7-0 win!💪

Day 6:
Both teams started their day at the Manchester Institute of Health and Performance, taking part in 3 sessions, field work and fitness testing, gym work and more testing, finished with a hydro therapy session to recover🧊thanks to for the amazing session, it’s a great insight for the players to see how the pros are tested and great to compare their results!
Both groups then headed off to Wolverhampton for team lunch at the Molineux stadium, home to Wolverhampton wanderers.🟠⚫️
Followed by a great training session with some of their academy coaches at the training ground!
We then watched thier first team up and close as they played against RC Lenns in a pre season friendly!🏟️

Day 7:
The club had the opportunity to take a tour of Stamford Bridge, home to Chelsea FC🔵
The boys then had more free time to explore the city of London whilst the girls played their 3rd and final game against Billericay u17’s in a well contested match.

It has been an amazing week and we can’t wait until next time👋

🚨DAY 6 STN North Penn Tour 🚨

Early start for the boys and girls teams who made their way to Manchester Institute of Health and Performance.

They took part in 3 sessions, field work and fitness testing, gym work and more testing, finished with a hydro therapy session to recover.
Great insight for the teams to see how the pros are tested and great to compare their results to the athletes not to mention career ideas! 🧠

Whilst the parents took a walking tour of Chester and their Roman ruins and walls.

Both groups then headed off to Wolverhampton for team lunch at the Molineux stadium, home to Wolverhampton wanderers.

Followed by a great training session with some of their academy coaches at the training ground!

We watched thier first team up and close as they played against RC Lenns in a pre season friendly later that day.
