Yesterday we got on some walleyes. Water temps are rising quickly which should produce a better bite.

Caught some nice walleyes today. Covering ground is key.Water temps were around 56 degrees.

Seeing water temps around 53 to 55 degrees. If I had to guess, we are about a week behind regarding water temps. Bite has been finicky at best. Hoping for some warm weather to come.

Yesterday we saw the DNR at the landing getting ready to put a bunch of walleye fry into the lake.
They used a dye to identify the difference between stocked and natural producing fish in Osakis. This will certainly be an interesting study.

Battle Point, C**n Point and Lindbergh Point are the usual potential danger areas with wind and temperature fluctuations.
Be smart. Use the tools that are there for your safety.
Added: There is also big crack/heave with open water North of the public beach that goes to the point South East of the Half mile bar. -AJ Walsh

Ice fishing season is quickly approaching, and I am sure some folks are out on the ice already.
With that being said, we will not be out until it's safe to use wheelers. When on the lake please use caution around battle, C**n, and Lindberg point.
Always check the ice yourself regardless of posted ice conditions. Use a spud bar, picks, float suit, and the buddy system.
