Another summer trip exploring resorts as a family to be able to recommend and offer tips for the best stay for your vacation.
We visited Barcelo Maya and fell in love with it’s amazing affordability and offerings.
We re-visited Hotel Xcaret México and got to explore the new features they’ve opened. Fell in love with Hotel Xcaret all over again of course.
We also visited Sunscape Cancun. Not sure I can recommend it. It’s a very small resort in the hotel zone. Adequate with great service, but I might choose something larger for a similar price.
Our week at Hotel Xcaret México
We were there with 7 kids ages 10, 8, 7, 7, 5, 2 and 3 months.
Overall, we’ve had an excellent time and as always will be excited to come back.
We had a swim-up in Casa Luna, which unfortunately my kids did not love. The pool at Casa Luna is more of a splash pad and my kids really wanted to be able to swim around. So, we didn’t utilize the swim-up like we thought we would. Casa Viento is still my favorite for swim-ups.
Highlights:
-The new take-away coffee shop at La Xentral is an amazing addition. They also now have another coffee shop near the Lobby of phase 2, in Casa Cielo.
My kids LOVED the water slides and I loved the ability to get them lunch without having to change out of bathing suits and into dry clothes.
Also, really enjoyed the various pools including opportunities for swimming in shade, which was perfect after a long day in the sun.
-Luntateca is a play space for kids 5 and under. It’s an amazing space the we really enjoyed.
-Xiquit Inn, a really wonderful indoor play space for kids of all ages. Unique and special of course.
-Kids club was a hit as always. We took them out to eat and they begged to go back.
-Enjoyed some of the most amazing sushi of my life at their new restaurant, Tama-Mon
They have extended their kids’ free promotion. This is especially a good deal if you have teens! Don’t miss out on your chance to experience this unique place.
