✈️ International Travel Reminders: A Few Often-Missed Details That Matter

A smooth international trip starts long before the airport. These are a few things travelers are often surprised by—until it’s too late.

1️⃣ Passport validity (not just expiration)
Many countries require your passport to be valid at least six months beyond your return date to the U.S.
✔️ “Not expired” doesn’t always mean “accepted.”

2️⃣ Blank pages & passport condition
Several countries require at least two blank passport pages for entry and exit stamps.
✔️ Torn pages, water damage, loose bindings, or heavy wear can result in denied boarding.

3️⃣ Entry requirements change frequently
Visas, arrival forms, transit rules, and health documentation can change with little notice.

What travelers need to know starting tomorrow

Important Travel Update

Beginning tomorrow, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will reduce air-traffic capacity by up to 10 percent at 40 major U.S. airports. This means travelers may experience longer lines, delays, or flight adjustments as airlines adapt to these changes.

✈️ How to keep your travels smooth and stress-free:

1️⃣ Arrive early. Allow at least 2½ – 3 hours for domestic flights at busy airports.

2️⃣ Check flight status often. Use your airline’s app or website for real-time updates.

3️⃣ Stay flexible. Gate or schedule adjustments may happen—keep backup options in mind when possible.

4️⃣ Pack smart. Bring snacks, hydration, something to occupy your time, and a spare outfit in your carry-on.

5️⃣ Show grace. Airline and airport staff are working under new capacity limits to keep travelers safe.

6️⃣ Reframe the delay. A quiet lounge, a good book, or a calm moment can turn waiting time into something restorative.
