When packing your plates, pack them vertically, like records. They'll be less likely to break...

When moving (or travelling!), place an extra cotton ball in your dry cosmetics to keep them from breaking. Place plastic wrap over the top of your toiletry bottles and put the tops back on to keep from spilling. This can save a lot of mess!

Pack an overnight back for the day of your move. Chances are, you'll be too tired to unpack your things. You'll want your essentials within easy access, including your toiletries and a change of clothes, if you're going back to work the next day.

When moving, don't forget to fill out a "change of address" form at your local post office 2-3 weeks prior to your move, to ensure no interruption in your mail delivery.
