Right across from Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is a little shop a lot of people walk past.
Sir Mickey’s.
And if you have a kid doing the princess makeover, this is actually a really fun stop after.
The shop is filled with princess dresses, knight costumes, capes, and accessories. It’s also a great place to grab something small if your child wants to stay in character the rest of the day.
One of my favorite little details is the backstory of the shop. Themed to the story of Jack and the Beanstalk, you’ll even spot giant footprints on the roof outside.
Disney loves hiding these small storytelling moments around the parks.
Most people are rushing to rides… but the shops often have some of the best details.

If you ask Disney fans what restaurant snack they dream about… this one comes up a lot.
The bread service at Sanaa.
Warm naan bread with a sampler of sauces that range from mild to spicy, sweet to savory. Every dip is different, which makes it one of those things everyone at the table keeps reaching for.
Sanaa sits at Animal Kingdom Lodge and overlooks the savanna, so you might even see giraffes or zebras while you’re eating.
But honestly, the bread service alone is worth the trip.
This is one of those Disney dining spots I recommend to families who want something a little different than typical park food.

When the Florida heat hits at Disney… this is one of my favorite quick stops.
Gelato.
Hollywood Studios has a small gelato and sorbet stand that a lot of people walk right past, but it’s one of the easiest ways to cool down in the middle of a hot park day.
The lemon and POG flavors are especially good if you want something refreshing instead of heavy.
This is also one of those simple Disney strategies I tell families all the time.
When kids start getting hot, tired, or overwhelmed… pause for a cold treat.
Five minutes in the shade with something cold can completely reset the day.
Sometimes the best Disney planning tip is just knowing where to cool off.

One of my favorite places to slow down at EPCOT is right here along the lagoon.
Most people are rushing to rides or the next food booth, but this part of the park reminds you to pause for a minute.
The views.
The water.
Spaceship Earth in the background.
EPCOT is one of those parks that’s actually better when you don’t try to rush it.
Wander.
Snack.
Explore.
That’s when the magic really shows up.

One of the best transportation upgrades Disney has added in years?
The Skyliner.
It connects several resorts straight to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, which means no buses and a much quicker ride back to the hotel.
For families with kids, this can be a huge win.
Park day ends.
Everyone is tired.
And you’re back at the resort in minutes instead of waiting for a bus.
Once you stay somewhere with Skyliner access… it’s really hard to go back.

There’s just something about the Polynesian.
The tropical views.
The warm colors.
The feeling that you’ve stepped somewhere far away… even though you’re minutes from Magic Kingdom.
This is one of those Disney resorts that families fall in love with quickly. Not just because it’s beautiful, but because it makes park days easier.
You’re right on the monorail loop.
Which means when kids are tired, overstimulated, or just need a break, getting back to the room for a nap or a reset is quick and simple.
And later that night?
You can head right back for fireworks.
For families traveling with younger kids especially, location like this can completely change how a Disney trip feels.
Sometimes the magic isn’t just the parks. It’s where you stay.
If you’re trying to decide which Disney resorts actually make park days easier, that’s something I help families plan all the time so the trip feels smoother from the start.

There are a lot of character meet and greets at Disney.
But meeting Captain Mickey on a Disney Cruise just hits differently.
Maybe it’s the ship setting.
Maybe it’s the excitement of being at sea.
But kids absolutely light up when they see him in the captain uniform.
And honestly… adults do too.
Disney Cruise Line just has a way of making those character moments feel extra specia

One of the classic Disney snacks you’ll find right on Main Street?
The caramel apples from the Main Street Confectionery.
They’re big, covered in chocolate, caramel, and sprinkles, and somehow manage to feel like the most “Disney” treat you can carry down Main Street.
But here’s a tip a lot of people don’t realize.
You can ask them to slice it for you before you leave the shop.
Because trying to bite into a whole caramel apple while walking through Magic Kingdom… is a lot harder than it looks.
Sometimes the best Disney snacks are the simple ones that have been there forever.

One thing EPCOT festivals do really well?
Desserts that look almost too pretty to eat.
Almost.
Flower & Garden Festival always brings out some of the most creative snacks in the park. Bright colors, fresh ingredients, and plates that honestly look like little pieces of art.
But the real trick with festival food at EPCOT is pacing yourself.
Start slow.
Share dishes.
And wander instead of rushing booth to booth.
It turns the whole experience into a relaxed afternoon instead of a race to try everything.
And sometimes those smaller bites end up being the things you remember most.

ne of my favorite seasons at EPCOT is finally here.
Flower and Garden.
The whole park feels different during this festival. Everywhere you look there are flowers, topiaries, and little garden areas that make EPCOT feel lighter and more relaxed.
And honestly, it’s one of the easiest festivals to do with kids.
There’s more space to walk.
There are scavenger hunts.
And plenty of snack booths so everyone can grab something they actually want.
You don’t have to rush it either. Sometimes the best way to enjoy Flower and Garden is just wandering around World Showcase and seeing what you find.
Good food.
Pretty views.
And a slower Disney day.
