I always think of summer as a beautiful time to head west.

This summer, my family is traveling to Rocky Mountain NP, and last summer I helped my brother and his girlfriend plan their trip to Grand Teton

Even though both trips centered around National Parks, the planning has looked really different.

For a multi-gen trip with little ones, we’re prioritizing easy logistics — direct flights from Nashville to Denver, minimizing drive time, and making Estes Park our home base so the time away together feels relaxed.

For my brother, they were excited about the journey itself.

I mapped out two road trip routes. One option was a simpler Wyoming loop while the other stretched them further south and through scenic parts of Colorado they’d not experienced before.

I love getting to advise clients early in the travel planning process because the right high-level itinerary framework allows everything else to flow more naturally.

Which National Park would you like to visit next?

Summer fills up quickly which means now is the time to think ahead about the memories you want to make with your family and friends 💭

It’s easy to default to the nearest beach when summer rolls around, but with a little planning, you can create something that feels entirely new!

If you’re still deciding where this summer might take you, I've pulled together a few ideas to get you thinking.

Last-minute travel doesn’t have to mean compromise.

A friend (and event planner with impeccable taste) reached out just three weeks before his flight to Istanbul. Instead of defaulting to whatever was available, we focused on what mattered most — comfort, space to relax, and a location that made it easy to settle into the rhythm of the city.

With the support of trusted on-the-ground partners, we secured beautiful accommodations just steps from Hagia Sophia which placed him right in the heart of Old Town.

We then designed two days of private touring tailored to his interests to make the most of his time in the city without feeling rushed.

He came home calling it the trip of a lifetime ✨

With the right focus and the right partners, you can create something seamless and personal even on a tight timeline.

If you’re planning something last-minute (or just want to hand off the details), I’d love to help!

The best trips feel effortless, but they’re rarely accidental.

Not rushed. Not overplanned. Not stressful. Easy in the best way.

That feeling comes from thoughtful coordination.

Aligning the right flights, hotels in the right location, and meaningful experiences allow the days to flow naturally without anything feeling out of place.

It’s all the little details working together so you don’t have to think about them while you’re there.

That’s the part I love most about travel planning — taking care of the logistics so you can be fully present in the experience.

When everything works together, travel doesn’t just look good… it feels easy ✨

With St. Patrick's Day coming up (and my girls requesting Irish folk songs daily for months now!), I've been thinking a lot about my own trip to Ireland with a good friend from college 💚

One of my favorite memories from that visit was a small group Irish step dancing lesson we did on our first night there.

It instantly made the trip feel more personal. We had arrived, and we were not just seeing Ireland — we were part of it. I think that experience set the tone for the whole trip!

I think about this a lot now when planning travel. The moments you remember most are often the ones that connect you to the culture of the place in an experiential way.

So naturally, I kind of love that my kids are learning the songs before we’ve even taken them there.
It feels like the experience has already started! ☘️

Before I plan any trip, I ask a few questions.

• How do you want the days to feel - busy, balanced, or relaxed?
• When you look back, what would make this trip feel like a success?
• Have you taken a similar trip before? What did you love… or not love?

The destination matters and the timing matters, but the why matters more.

The why is where intentional travel planning begins.

The best trips aren’t just about where you go, they’re about how the experience fits you.

If you're dreaming about your next trip but not sure where to start, let's start planning around your why!

Anyone else SO ready for the first F1 race of the season? 🏎️

Patrick and I got hooked on Formula 1 in 2020 thanks to Drive to Survive, and our pandemic hobby has become a favorite family ritual. Riley’s team Albon this season, and Teagan is a proud “Ferrari fan” ♥️

And of course, I’m always eyeing the destinations on the calendar (hello Madrid 👀)!

This year is big for sports travel, and whether you prefer the Olympics, a Grand Prix weekend, or the World Cup, there are just so many opportunities to experience the things you love up close.

Sometimes the best trips don’t start with a destination – they start with a passion.

Racing. Food. History. Art. Wildlife. Culture.

When you build travel around what genuinely excites you and your people, the experience feels different. More personal. More memorable.

I’ll be sharing summer travel ideas in my March newsletter if you’d like to follow along.

And I'd love to know: What’s something you’d plan a trip around?
