Paws up if you think your furry friend would make a great painting!

Painting pets and plein air both require you to think differently with time and composition. While we can't encourage you to bring a pet to this year's Art in the Park program, you should still sign up for our workshops and plein air excursion.

🎉 Happy Birthday, National Park Service! 🎉

On August 25, 1916, the National Park Service was established with a mission to protect America’s natural, cultural, and historic treasures for generations to come.

Here in Glen Canyon, we’re especially grateful for our NPS partners and their dedication to protecting these incredible landscapes, preserving the stories of this place, and helping visitors connect with the wonders of our public lands.

From all of us at Glen Canyon Conservancy, happy birthday, NPS! Here’s to many more years of protecting the places we love. ❤️

Craving a cool hideaway on a hot day? Take a stroll through the orchards at historic Lonely Dell Ranch!

Tucked into the southern end of Glen Canyon, this hidden oasis offers a refreshing escape filled with rich history, beautiful views, and—if you visit at the right time of year—delicious fresh fruit. 🍑🍎

The original orchards associated with the pioneer homestead were once located farther upstream. In the 1960s, private owners revived the orchards closer to the ranch home, and the National Park Service has cared for them ever since. Today, visitors can enjoy a little taste of Glen Canyon history while savoring some of the fruits grown in this special place.

Stop by the Navajo Bridge Interpretive Center before or after your trip to learn more about the area, pick up helpful information, and browse souvenirs that can help enrich your Glen Canyon adventure.
