I haven’t been able to respond to everyone, so I wanted to share an update here. ❤️

Mya had a large mass growing from her left chest wall that required significant surgery. Thankfully, she is now home and recovering, though a second surgery may be needed as we learn more.

My mom and Aunt Linda came to support us and just made it back home.

One of my cousins sent me this beautiful photo from her trip to Salzburg, Austria, and it reminded me of something that really stuck with me after my family’s recent trip to Europe.

Out of everything we saw, I think what impressed me the most was the architecture. It’s hard to wrap your mind around the fact that people built places like this hundreds of years ago, and they’re still standing for us to enjoy today.

This is Salzburg Cathedral, completed in 1628. Just look at the details—the soaring ceilings, hand-painted artwork, beautiful stonework, and craftsmanship. It’s amazing to think that generations of people have walked through these same doors and looked up at these same ceilings for nearly 400 years.

Travel has a way of making history feel real. You can read about places like this in a book, but standing inside them is a whole different experience. It gives you a new appreciation for the people who came before us and what they were able to create without the technology we have today.

I don’t know about y’all, but that’s the kind of thing that stays with me long after the trip is over. ❤️
