Somewhere between the flowers and the brunch reservations, there's a mom who has a trip saved on her phone that she hasn't let herself book yet. ๐Ÿ’

Maybe it's a Caribbean cruise she's been eyeing. A river cruise through Europe she keeps coming back to. Or a destination she's mentioned more than once that nobody has taken seriously enough to actually plan.

This year, that trip could be her gift. A gift certificate towards planning her next vacation is the kind of gift that shows she is appreciated, and her daily sacrifices do not go unnoticed.

If you want to give her something she'll genuinely be excited about, reach out today and let's put something together. ๐ŸŒบ

Twelve years. Hundreds of trips. And the thing I'm most proud of has nothing to do with destinations.

Nobody hands a stranger their vacation plans without a little bit of faith. Over the past 12 years, a lot of people have put that faith in me, and I've never stopped being grateful for it. Not every trip is perfect. Travel rarely is. But having someone in your corner who knows your booking, knows what you paid for, and will fight for you when things go sideways? That's what this is built on.

Today is Global Travel Advisor Day, and while I appreciate the recognition from my travel partners, I'm not here to talk about me. I'm here to say thank you to every client, past and present, who trusted me enough to say "handle it." You're the reason this is still worth doing after 12 years. ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿผ

If you've never worked with a travel advisor and you're curious what that actually looks like, I'd love to chat with you. Message or email, and let's set up a time to talk.

Tacos, tequila, and a travel promotion. Name a better Tuesday. I'll wait. ๐ŸŒฎ

It's Taco Tuesday, Cinco de Mayo, National Small Business Week, AND Travel Advisor Appreciation Month.
Somewhere, a travel advisor is using all of that as an excuse to post a promotion. That travel advisor is me. ๐Ÿ˜

Now through May 10th, say the word ADVISOR when you contact me and get 50% off planning fees for your next trip. Individual bookings only, group trips excluded.

You bring the tacos and tequila. I'll handle the trip planning. Message or email me and let's talk!๐Ÿค—

Your vacation dollars have a choice. They can go to a faceless website, or they can stay right here and work for both of us.๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ

May is a big month around here, and not just because summer travel season is heating up. This week is National Small Business Week, and all of May is Travel Advisor Appreciation Month. As a locally owned, one-woman travel agency that has been operating right here since 2014, those two things feel pretty connected to me.๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿผ

When you book through Outta Here Travels, you're not sending your money to a corporate call center. You're working with someone local, someone you can actually reach, and someone who has a real stake in making your trip go well. And in most cases, using a travel advisor costs you nothing extra out of pocket. The commission in your trip price exists whether you book with me, an online agency, or a 1-800 number. The only difference is who keeps it. (Me!)

This week, I'll focus on what a reputable travel advisor does and how I can help you with your next trip. There will also be a discount code available and the possibility of a giveaway later this month.

If a Caribbean cruise has been in the back of your mind, there's no better time to start the conversation than right now.๐Ÿ›ณ๏ธ

Caribbean sailings check a lot of boxes that are hard to find in one trip. Multiple destinations without unpacking and repacking. ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ Warm water, great food, and enough onboard to fill your days without ever leaving the ship if that's your mood.

If the cost of flights has been giving you pause lately, many Caribbean itineraries sail right out of domestic ports like Galveston, Miami, Tampa, Port Canaveral, and New Orleans, which means no international flights required. For travelers who have been holding off on an all-inclusive resort trip because airfare has gotten a little out of hand, a Caribbean cruise from a drive-to or short-flight port is a really smart alternative that doesn't sacrifice the experience. You still get the warm weather, the beaches, the incredible food, and that full vacation feeling, often at a better overall value.

And if 2026 feels too soon, most major cruise lines have already released their 2027 Caribbean itineraries. Planning now means better cabin selection, better pricing, and plenty of time to plan without the rush.
Whether you've cruised before and are ready to start planning your next one, or you've been curious but haven't quite pulled the trigger yet, I can help you figure out the right ship, itinerary, and timing for your budget. That's what I do.

Wow, what a weekend!! ๐Ÿฅน๐Ÿฅ๐Ÿ’™

A dream come true for Brenden, Hudson, and the guys, as well as all of us parents.

Now, since this is a travel page, and that experience wasn't for the weak of the heart, so let's earn this travel tax deduction. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿซฃ

Over 133,000 people combined attended either Friday or Saturday. A huge chunk of those traveled in from out of town. As most of you know, prices got very expensive very quickly and it was almost impossible to find lodging within 50 miles if you waited too long to book something. My only word of advice is, if you even think you're going to see a widely popular show like this, book your room ASAP. If you don't get tickets, or can't go, cancel your reservation when you know 100% you're not going to give someone else a chance to get a room.

We stayed at the Hyatt Place a couple of blocks from the venue, and we just walked there. Didn't have to worry about $200+ parking or ๐Ÿ’ฒ๐Ÿ’ฒ Uber rides. ๐Ÿ™Œ The hotel was decent and they did an excellent job getting people in and out and the rooms ready for the next day. We were actually able to get our room by 2pm on Saturday. They also had parking passes for guests and they had on property security checking for anyone who was parked in their lots and didn't have one.

Every worker we talked to was great and they were all working so hard. I hope everyone in the service industry who worked so hard made great money, and are able to enjoy a couple days off to relax and rest. ๐Ÿซถ

I'll be Out Of The Office tomorrow, Saturday April 25th to watch this guy open for ๐Ÿคด George Strait in Lubbock.
So excited for Brenden, Hudson, and the rest of the band. What an absolutely amazing experience and then right after the show they are off to California so they can perform at Stagecoach on Sunday. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿฅ

Back to business as usual on Monday.

Do you have an Alaska cruise booked for 2026? Check your itinerary because there may be an update to it.๐Ÿ“‹

After an unexpected landslide in August 2025 triggered a tsunami in Tracy Arm Fjord, several major cruise lines have decided to substitute the stop with nearby Endicott Arm and Dawes Glacier out of an abundance of caution. Alaska, being Alaska, acting all wild and reminding us who is really in charge.

The good news is your trip isn't going anywhere. Port calls should remain the same, and Endicott Arm is a stunning alternative with glacier views, active ice calving, wildlife, and waterfalls that don't disappoint.

What I'd recommend: check your 2026 itinerary and see if it's been updated, and look for any emails from your cruise line or travel advisor about itinerary changes. If you booked through me, I've already emailed you about it.

If you have been thinking about an Alaska cruise, but haven't taken one yet (or want to go again), message or email me and let's set up a time to chat!

Getting three generations to agree on anything is its own accomplishment. Getting them all to have a great time on the same trip? That takes a little more planning.

A Caribbean cruise is one of the best options for multigenerational families, and it's not just because of the warm water and sunshine. It's because a well-chosen ship gives every age group something to genuinely look forward to.

And let's be honest, today's grandparents are not sitting in a deck chair watching everyone else have fun. They're just as likely to be racing the grandkids down the waterslide, signing up for adventurous shore excursions, or still on the dance floor when the kids are ready to call it a night. ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ•บ๐Ÿผ
Kids and teenagers get activities, energy, and enough to keep them busy without anyone feeling babysat. And the adults in the middle get to actually enjoy the trip instead of managing everyone else's experience the whole time.๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ

Cruise travel is one of my core specialties, and I have nearly twelve years of experience working with the major lines. Often have access to onboard credits and amenities that aren't available by booking direct with the cruise line.

Send me a message or email, and let's find the right cruise for your family.

โœจSmall Group Escorted Travelโœจ

When most people hear "escorted tour," they picture a giant bus, a guide holding a flag, and a schedule so packed you're exhausted before the trip is even over.๐Ÿชง๐Ÿš

That version exists. But it's not what I'm talking about in this post.

Small group escorted travel, usually 16 people or fewer, is a completely different experience. The pace is more intentional, the access is better, and the overall quality feels more like traveling with a well-connected group of insiders than being shuffled through a highlight reel. Depending on the itinerary, you might be skipping the lines everyone else is standing in, getting into experiences that aren't open to the general public, or simply moving through a destination at a pace that lets you actually absorb it.

Think about the destination that keeps coming back to your mind. The one you keep researching but never quite pull the trigger on. Chances are there's a small group itinerary built around it.๐ŸŒ

This style of travel is a great fit for solo travelers who want great company without the chaos of a large group; anyone who wants a premium experience without worrying about the logistics of the trip; and organizations, clubs, or families who want something more in-depth without booking a fully private tour.

If you've always assumed escorted travel wasn't for you, it might be time to take another look. I'd love to help you figure out if it's the right fit. Message or email me, and let's set up a time to chat.

If you've been looking for something beyond the usual quick Caribbean getaway, St. Vincent is it. This isn't Cancun. This isn't Nassau. St. Vincent is a less-traveled, lush volcanic island in the southern Caribbean that most people haven't discovered yet, and that's exactly what makes it so special.

Sandals St. Vincent sits on its own private cove, surrounded by rainforest, with some of the most beautiful water in the Caribbean at your doorstep. This is a newer Sandals property, which means the experience feels genuinely fresh, and not crowded.

This One-Bedroom Butler Villa Suite is the perfect room for your special celebration or romantic vacation. It also has a media room and a tranquility soaking tub. ๐Ÿ˜ AND....there's a special promo for this room category if you book before April 21, 2026. Lots of dates available well into 2027.

It's 1,382 sq. ft. of private villa space tucked into tropical gardens, an outdoor soaking tub, a dedicated butler, in-room dining, a fully stocked premium bar, and a media room that makes a rainy afternoon feel like a luxury in itself. โœจ

This is the kind of trip that gets talked about for years. And because dates go into 2027, you'll have the ability to spread payments out over time if needed, but the sale pricing is gone after April 21, 2026.

If you're ready to upgrade for that special celebration or next getaway, message or email, and let's set up a time to chat.
