Big Bend Maritime Center Boat Shop The Center is 100% volunteer run, and provides a variety of educational programs and resources related to maritime activities.

The Big Bend Maritime Center is a non-profit education center located in Panacea, Florida, dedicated to preserving and interpreting Big Bend maritime heritage through hands-on education experiences. We aim to create a community of lifelong learners who are passionate about the ocean and all it has to offer.

🎄 Join us in celebrating the 20th Annual Christmas in Panacea! 🎅

What began in 2005—after Hurricane Dennis devastated Panacea—as a way to lift community spirits has grown into a beloved annual tradition that showcases our town’s strength, resilience, and holiday cheer.

✨ The celebration kicks off Friday, December 5, with the Community Tree Lighting at 6PM in Panacea Town Square.

Then on Saturday, December 6, head to Woolley Park for a full day of fun!

❄️ Enjoy snow to play in, kids’ activities, refreshments, and live entertainment from 3–6PM.

🎅 Visit with Santa, enjoy the Parade of Lights, and stay for Panacea’s first-ever Drone Show over Dickerson Bay to close out the evening!

🛍️ Shop local at the Mistletoe Market during the day at the Panacea Community Garden and the Farmers Market for great holiday finds.
