Saturday, September 26, is National Public Lands Day. When people hear "public lands" they usually think of national parks and forests. But did you know that nearly a quarter of our public lands are owned and managed by cities, counties, and states? Get out and enjoy a nearby public property (such as a state park) and remember to do your part to support and protect them.

Trail 9 at Indiana's Turkey Run State Park had been closed for more than a year due to storm damage. It reopened 4 weeks ago after a new ladder system was built, so we had to check it out! We also hiked Trail 12, a brand new trail opened in 2025. Come along!
