Both roles require deep curiosity, meticulous attention to detail, and a passion for storytelling. Teaching showed me how to meet people where they are. Travel showed me how far that can take you.

Two weeks to go, which means we have entered the highly scientific phase of preparation known as checking the same packing list twelve times.Do I have enough wool socks? Is the waterproof jacket actually waterproof? How many snacks count as “reasonable” for a 96-mile walk?Soon we will be crossing the vast, exposed beauty of Rannoch Moor—exactly the sort of moody Scottish landscape that makes you feel wonderfully small. Two weeks until we step away from the noise and onto the trail.
