GROUP TRIP TIPS!!!!!!

Being a lead traveler…

Being a lead traveler takes patience. Here are some tips.

▪️Even if you have a travel agent, your group will reach out to you FIRST. They trust YOU, not the travel agent. They trust your judgment in picking a travel agent. You have to direct them to reach out to the travel agent for ALL things related to your trip.

▪️As the lead traveler, you have to lead by example. When you’re telling people that you are putting a trip together, they will ASSUME that you’ve booked FIRST. Matter of fact, they WILL NOT book until they know you have. (I know this first hand).

▪️As a general rule, the lead traveler will be my first point of contact, because they’ve reached out to me with their needs. However, everyone’s tastes are NOT the same.

▪️Finally…KNOW YOUR GROUP. You can’t travel with everyone. If someone is complaining about the price difference between a McDouble and a Double Cheeseburger, DO NOT ask them to travel with you. They will make you miserable.

When a Hurricane Hits, What Does Travel Insurance Cover?

So, when a hurricane impacts your vacation plans, what can travel insurance cover?

A lot of essentials. If you experience a covered trip cancellation or interruption due to severe weather, travel insurance from assistance can reimburse you for non-refundable, pre-paid costs plus the extra cost of flying home early up to the maximum amounts spelled out in your policy. If your journey home is delayed, travel insurance may reimburse you for the cost of a hotel room, meals or other essentials. And if you're injured in a storm, travel insurance can provide emergency medical and dental benefits, as well as emergency medical transportation benefits.
