They told me NOT to visit El Salvador…but I went anyway. 🇸🇻
I was told El Salvador was dangerous and that there wasn’t much to see. What I found was the complete opposite.

Yes, there is still work to be done, but I was impressed by the infrastructure, the roads, and the progress happening throughout the country.

Most surprising of all? How safe I felt.

As someone who travels often, I know tourist areas tend to feel safer. But I can’t remember another destination where I felt this comfortable walking around day or night, even when looking for a late-night place to eat.

Sometimes the people telling you not to go have never been there.

I’m glad I did.
