Today at UTCCONNECT, we heard directly from ASTA leadership on what’s happening behind the scenes for travel advisors—and it’s clear: our voices are being heard, protected, and amplified at a national level.

Here’s what stood out:

• Relentless advocacy in Washington – ASTA continues to actively represent travel advisors on Capitol Hill, ensuring our industry is part of critical legislative conversations
• Fighting for fair regulations – pushing back on policies that could negatively impact how we operate and serve our clients
• Protecting advisor commissions – a major focus, making sure our compensation model is respected and sustained
• Raising the profile of travel advisors – positioning us not just as sellers, but as essential professionals in the global travel ecosystem
• Keeping us informed and equipped – providing timely updates and resources so we can navigate changes with confidence

Sitting in this session was a reminder that being a travel advisor today isn’t just about planning incredible trips—it’s about being part of a larger movement that is shaping the future of travel.
