Hotel number 2 of my visit to Mexico. I’ve relocated from Playa del Carmen to the Cancun Hotel Zone. This area is know for gorgeous turquoise water views.

I’m currently at Live Aqua which is the same brand as my first hotel, and yet a different experience altogether.

A “work trip” to Cancun doesn’t sound too terrible ☀️🌴🍹

But honestly, trips like this genuinely make me a better advisor which really benefits my clients.

Most people (friends, internet strangers) recommend resorts based on what they personally like, and that works… if you happen to travel exactly the same way they do. The reality is everyone wants something different from a vacation.

The busiest booking season has passed, but the busiest travel season hasn’t started yet, making this the sweet spot for planning ahead. And yes, booking is already open through 2027.

My passport expires in a year… which actually means I need to renew it in less than six months… which means I’ll be grounded for a few weeks while that’s happening. 😩

Did you know that many destinations require your passport to be valid for six months after your trip, not just through your travel dates.

So if you’ve got something on the calendar (or even just think you might book something), take 30 seconds and check your expiration date now.

Future you will be very glad you did. ✈️
