Main Street Perryville board members Harold Edwards and Tony Wilder recently installed a historic marker at the Crawford House.

This site served as Confederate Gen. Braxton Bragg’s headquarters during the Battle of Perryville in 1862, and the Crawford Spring supplied vital water to troops on the drought-stricken battlefield.

A special thank you goes to Dr. Ted Steinbock, who has recently completed a beautiful restoration of the Crawford House, helping preserve this important piece of our history. 👏
