Phelps Scarecrow Festival is just a few weeks away! Don't forget to check out the Spooktacular Car Show too 🎃

WANTED!! CARS/TRUCKS/Motorcycles!!!!
The Phelps Scarecrow Fest will be having their 4th annual Spooktacular car show event featuring vintage and classic cars and motorcycles at the 2026 Scarecrow Fest on Saturday, September 19th. There is no entry fee, no pre-registration required, and the first 50 registered participants will receive a commemorative dash plaque. All registrations occur on the day of the show beginning at 8 AM with registration closing at 11 AM. Voting is from 11 AM to 2PM and trophies are presented at 3 PM. Trophy awards include People’s Choice-Best of Show and Best Spooktacular entry (spooktacular décor is optional).
Ray Sorenson and Marc Engberg will be there to help you get parked and registered. Previously Ray was chief mechanic for INDYCAR legend Michael Andretti. For the last 20 plus years Ray and Marc have worked together as team manager and chief mechanic, respectively, for Blackdog Racing in Lincolnshire Illinois racing with Chevrolet and McLaren. They love talking cars and racing. So bring your antique auto, your cool car, or your Spooktacularly decorated vehicle to the Phelps Lakefront Pines Park across from the Post Office on Highway E.

Thank you to all came out to celebrate the grand opening of the Phelps Community Center! We were honored to have Governor Tony Evers and State Representative Rob Swearingen in attendance for this momentous occasion for Phelps!

Additional open house hours are tomorrow from 10am to 2pm for self-guided tours.
