👻 On select spooky nights from August 7 through October 31, Magic Kingdom transforms into a fall-tastic fright fest (family-friendly, of course). Think: 🎭 Disney costumes, 🍬 candy trails, 🎃 exclusive entertainment, 🎢 eerie overlays on your favorite rides, and 👻 character sightings that may just include a witch or three.

28 years ago today, Disney's Animal Kingdom opened. There have been a lot of changes over the years and there are some exciting things that are opening in the coming years!

If you’re heading there, here are my go-to must-dos (and why):

1️⃣ Flight of Passage – you’re literally “flying” on the back of a banshee over Pandora - this is a favorite of both of my girls
2️⃣ Festival of the Lion King – Broadway-style show with acrobatics, fire, music, and all the Lion King feels - this is a MUST DO!
3️⃣ Kilimanjaro Safaris – real animals, no two rides are the same. One time we were 3 feet from a baby and mama rhino - so cool!
4️⃣ Expedition Everest – fast, thrilling coaster that never gets old
5️⃣ Explore the park – take your time walking the trails, spotting animals, and grab a Wilderness Explorers booklet and collect badges around the park—it’s such a fun little extra that people overlook

And because food matters:

🍽️ Tusker House Restaurant or Yak & Yeti Restaurant – my 2 favorite sit down restaurants
🍲 Satu'li Canteen and Flame Tree BBQ - my favorite quick service
🍩 Churros at Nomad Lounge and the Cookie Dough Brownie Ice Cream Sandwich at Terra Treats - favorite snacks
