The Mountain Is You 💜🏔️🪻

When I’m surrounded by the vastness of nature, I find a space for deep reflection. I’ve recently been reminded that the peaks we conquer aren’t just on the horizon, but a journey within. As we rise above our fears and doubts, we gain clarity, achieve strength and are rewarded with a beautiful view.

Embrace the ascent, because the view is always worth the climb 💜

📍Mount Storm King, Olympic National Park

This hike was one of my favorites from our Washington trip. The views of Lake Crescent and the surrounding mountains from the summit were incredible! The trail is very steep, but so worth it 👏🏻

🥾4.4-miles roundtrip + 2100’ gain

👉🏼Rated as challenging with steep switichbacks. The final 0.25-mile ascent beyond the “End of Maintained Trail” sign is steep and rocky with a series of ropes for assistance.

🚙Park at the Storm King Ranger Station (flush toilets & water available).

💦Include the spur to Marymere Falls for an additional 0.75-miles roundtrip.

🐦Watch for the Canada jays at the summit, they are friendly and looking for snacks haha. PS- please don’t feed wildlife 😵‍💫

‼️Please remember to Leave No Trace () when exploring the outdoors.

Hi!

I honestly in awe that it’s already the second half of July 🤯 This summer has been flying by and I’ve also been superrrrr MIA on this page 🥴 whoops 🤷🏻‍♀️

‼️Tell me: What’s been the highlight of your summer so far?! Or what are you looking forward to in the coming months? Do you have any trips or special events coming up?

For me:
🌊I’ve been enjoying time down the shore
🩵Spending time with family and friends
✈️Plus, Sam and I are headed out to Washington state next week! I’m really looking forward to that.

Happy Monday!

I’m going to let you in a little secret 🤫⤵️

I LOVE the outdoors, but I’m not a fan of tent camping 🫣 I used to let this hold me back from considering myself an “outdoorsy” person and going camping. But, not anymore 🙅🏻‍♀️

Emily 🫱🏼‍🫲🏾 campervan = the perfect combo

Hey, Philly friends ➡️ .customs builds, sells, and RENTS custom campervans in the Philadelphia area 🚐

Just look at the van I rented for a weekend trip to Pine Grove Furnace State Park! 👀 The Vanture model comes fully loaded with a queen bed, refrigerator, sink, heater, solar set up and plenty of storage. Perfect for outdoor adventures 🙌🏼

I’m outdoorsy, I just prefer a comfortable bed 🤪

Why you should hike the [Falls Trail at Ricketts Glen State Park] this spring ⤵️

🥾 The trail passes 21 natural waterfalls, including 94-foot Ganoga Falls

🥾 Several route options, ranging from 3.4-miles to 7.2-miles roundtrip

🥾 Due to snowmelt, the waterfall flow is heaviest during the spring season

🥾 It is less crowded in spring than the summer

🥾 It’s free to visit—like all PA state parks, there are no entrance or day use fees

🥾 You can bring your dog! Just be sure to keep them on a leash

‼️Please remember to Leave No Trace () when exploring the outdoors.
