It's Friday and I'm already thinking about all the trips I'm going to help people plan this coming month 🎉

There is genuinely nothing better than when someone reaches out saying "I finally want to book that Disney trip" or "we've always talked about a cruise" or "I just want a week on a beach somewhere and I need someone to help me figure it out."

If you haven't considered Punta Cana for your next vacation — let me make a case for it. 🌺

The Dominican Republic is one of the best all-inclusive destinations in the world, and Punta Cana specifically is a dream. Here's why I love recommending it:

🏖️ Beautiful, calm beaches with warm water — genuinely stunning
💸 Incredible value — you can get into a very good resort for less than you'd expect
🌅 Resorts here are massive and beautifully designed — multiple pools, multiple restaurants, full entertainment programs
✈️ Easy to get to from most US cities — often direct flights
👨‍👩‍👧 Works for everyone — families, couples, friend groups, multigenerational travel

The resort variety here is huge — from budget-friendly to ultra-luxury. I've researched this destination extensively and know which properties consistently deliver on their promises.

Cruise tip that makes a bigger difference than you'd think 💡

Where your cabin is located on the ship matters — and most first-time cruisers don't realize this until they're already onboard.

Here's what I tell my clients:

🛳️ Midship is your best friend. Cabins in the middle of the ship (both front-to-back AND deck height) experience the least motion. If you're prone to seasickness — or not sure if you are — go midship.

🌊 Lower decks are more stable than higher decks. The higher you go, the more you'll feel the ship move.

⬆️ Higher decks often have better views (especially on balconies) but more motion. Worth it for most people — less worth it if you're sensitive.

🚶 Close to the elevator is convenient — but also loud and high-traffic. A cabin slightly away from the elevator banks means less foot traffic and corridor noise.

🚫 Avoid cabins directly below the pool deck, buffet, or nightclub if you're a light sleeper.

I don't just book trips. I think about them. A lot.

When someone tells me "we've never taken a real family vacation" or "we keep saying we're going to go to Disney but never actually do it" — I take that seriously. Because I know what those trips can mean. My kids talk about our vacations for years after.

I've seen what happens when a family walks through the Magic Kingdom gates for the first time. I know what it feels like to sit on a resort beach with nothing on the agenda for once. I know the specific joy of waking up on a cruise ship in a new port.

These aren't just vacations. They're memories that last decades.

B) Trying every restaurant on property and rating them like a food critic 🍽️
C) Taking a day trip to ruins or a cenote and feeling like Indiana Jones 🏛️
D) Pool + frozen drinks + nap + repeat + pool + frozen drinks 🍹

(I think we all know D is the correct answer but I will not judge any of you)

Seriously though — all-inclusive vacations are one of my favorite things to help plan because the whole point is just to rest. And everyone deserves that.

Okay I need to talk about EPCOT because it is genuinely one of the most underappreciated parks at Walt Disney World and it is our families favorite park. 🌍

People often skip it or rush through it. I want to change your mind.

Here's what EPCOT actually is:

🎢 World Discovery — Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind (a reverse-launch coaster that you have to ride), Test Track, Mission: SPACE
🌿 World Nature — The Living Seas with Nemo, Soarin' Around the World (beautiful)
🏡 World Celebration — Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival, tons of great food
🌎 World Showcase — 11 countries, each with authentic food, drinks, entertainment, and culture

And the FESTIVALS. OH MY GOSH The Festivals!! EPCOT runs festival overlays almost year-round:
🌸 Festival of the Arts (Jan–Feb)
🌷 Flower and Garden (March–May)
🍽️ Food and Wine (Aug–Nov)
🎄 Festival of the Holidays (Nov–Dec)

Each one adds special food booths, entertainment, and merchandise. It's a completely different park depending on when you go.

All-inclusive trip coming up? Here's what to actually pack 💡

I've been to several all-inclusive resorts and learned a lot along the way — including a few things I wish someone had told me the first time.

Pack these — you'll thank yourself later:

✅ A day bag / beach bag for excursions (don't use a big suitcase)
✅ Reef-safe sunscreen — required at many Mexican resorts and better for the ocean
✅ A reusable water bottle (for poolside when you don't want a drink drink)
✅ Mesh laundry bag (wet swimsuits are gross in a suitcase)
✅ An over-door organizer for your room — resort rooms have minimal storage
✅ Cash in small bills for tipping staff — tips are often not truly included even when advertised
✅ A nicer outfit for specialty restaurants — some have a dress code
✅ Power adapter if traveling internationally

Leave these at home:
❌ Too many shoes (you'll live in flip flops and one nice pair)
❌ Food and drinks — it's all-inclusive, remember 😄
❌ Stress about planning every meal — that's the whole point
