We had an awesome lobster charter with Allison and Grant from Jacksonville, Florida! Even with high winds and cool water temps (thanks wetsuits), we were able to show them a great time snorkeling the flats and finding some good lobster hotels!! They were naturals finding the lobster! Thanks to our friends for helping make this possible (wink, wink, you know who you are).

Kyle and family from Michigan had an amazing day hooking up 2 huge Blackfin TUNAs, snorkeling one of the Lower Florida Keys beautiful Marine Sanctuary’s (where we saw a giant sea turtle, a big Moray Eel, gorgeous coral heads, huge grouper and snapper, Hogfish, parrot fish, Angel fish and so many more) and enjoying some quality family time collecting shells at Picnic Island with Captain Rick’s Charters.

We had the most amazing back country charter yesterday with Rose, Max, Tyler, and Remy from mainland Florida. We visited Content Key Sandbar, cruised the beautiful Florida Keys waters, hooked up some Mangrove and Lane Snappers and visited a private island where Max PROPOSED to Rose while Tyler filmed the proposal! It was a magical day! Cool vibes with great people living the Keys life!

Are you ready to hit the pristine waters for some of the best times of your life? Captain Rick’s Charters is located on Summerland Key in the Lower Florida Keys. Captain Rick is a 50 ton United States Coast Guard (USCG) licensed Maritime Captain and certified advanced open water scuba diver. He is fully licensed, insured and permitted. We service charters in all of the Lower Florida Keys. We offer 4-8 hour trips. We offer family friendly trips specialize in fishing, snorkeling, sandbar trips and sunset cruises. We can also customize trips.
The species we love to target for fishing are Snapper, Mahi-Mahi, Sailfish, Tuna, Amberjack, Wahoo, Grouper and if you’re really lucky a Marlin. Our techniques include trolling, big game fishing, jigging, light tackle, spinning, drift fishing and bottom fishing.
Your fishing adventure will take place on a 27 foot World Cat powered by two Suzuki 200 HP motors. We can accommodate 6 guests. Ice cold water, bait, tackle and all the necessary fishing licenses are included for the day. We will clean and fillet your catch for you to take home or you can have one of the local restaurants cook your catch for you.
For snorkeling trips, please bring your favorite snorkel gear or we can provide you with some. We have a great dive ladder and dive platform making it easy to get in and out of the water and boat, providing lots of space! The World Cat is one of the best riding boats with lots of room, a smooth ride and very dry. Don’t forget to bring some food, drinks, beach towels, sunscreen and camera!
