Introducing the first-ever CYBAFEST where creatives of all kinds perform and network.

On August 24th, 2024, at eleven unique performers will hit the stage to showcase their art. Also, seven local vendors will present their amazing merch! Doors open at 7pm. Show starts at 7:30pm sharp. Enjoy food and drinks throughout the event!

My friend Yoko refers to my tumblers as “American-size yunomi.” When she commissioned a set, I offered to make them closer to the traditional 7 oz standard.

“No,” she responded, “My family likes big cups of tea!”

This one, another experiment, became a gift for a relatively new friend who’s taught me a great deal in a short amount of time.

Continuing to experiment, I switched to this Brooklyn Red clay and painted a inspired white background with red flowers.

While I’m not 100% happy with the results, saying that I enjoyed the process of making these immensely seems like a gross understatement.

Part of that enjoyment came through sharing the process with a number of friends, both on Instagram and in person. I sincerely appreciate all of your interest and encouragement!

I hadn’t been terribly inspired to make anything for a while. Catching a case of Covid a few weeks ago afforded me some unplanned free time…

With no intention to sell these I felt totally free to experiment — my Etsy shop is on hiatus, and I have no plans to do any in-person sales in the near future. I like the idea of making pottery just for the sake of making pottery.
