Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge is a wonderful, quick stop on the North Shore of Kauai.

The overlook at the end of Kīlauea Road is always accessible to view the ocean, seabirds, Kīlauea Point and the lighthouse from a distance.

But if you want to see some seabirds up close - the Refuge is one of the best places on the main Hawaiian Islands to view some You also have a chance to view humpback whales (November through April), spinner dolphins, Hawaiian monk seals, green sea turtles, native Hawaiian coastal plants and Hawai‘i’s state bird - the nēnē, or Hawaiian goose.

You'll need a reservation to access the Refuge and lighthouse, but tickets are just $1.00. We can help with getting you the info you need for the reservation.

Took advantage of the beautiful (and rare!) Western PA weather on an early summer Saturday at Ohiopyle State Park. A picnic by the waterfalls, 7 mile bike ride along the GAP (Great Allegheny Passage) trail to see Sugar Run Falls, browsing the vendors at the Spirit of the River Wine & Arts Festival, then local beer and outdoor dinner in our favorite Ohiopyle restaurant.
