I may spend most of my time planning dreamy Caribbean getaways and beach vacations ☀️🌴… but if you really know us, you know the mountains have our hearts too. ⛰️🤍

We’re huge hikers and love chasing incredible views, alpine lakes, and unforgettable adventures. Over the years we’ve explored so many beautiful mountain destinations, but one of our absolute favorites so far has been Colchuck Lake in Washington State.

Located near Leavenworth, WA — a charming Bavarian-style mountain town — this hike is one of the most rewarding adventures we’ve done. The trail is about 8 miles round trip with a pretty challenging elevation gain, but the payoff is unreal: crystal-clear turquoise water surrounded by rugged peaks in the Enchantments. It honestly feels like something out of a postcard.

As much as we love all-inclusive resorts and white sand beaches, there’s just something magical about a mountain view that keeps calling us back. ✨

Want to break up the drive to Chicago and the long flight?✈️

One of my favorite things to add on to a vacation is the park, stay & fly. You spend hundreds parking your vehicle at the airport, spend the same and sometimes less at the hotel.

Loews Chicago O'hare is my go-to when I am booking a hotel the night before an early flight leaving from Chicago. You stay the night, get free parking for the week and a free shuttle to and from the airport!
