Taking Time Travel

Taking Time Travel God, my family and then dreams. I'm pretty sure traveling and adventure are embedded in my DNA.

I believe in bucket lists, traveling with heart and purpose, embracing adventures, realizing dreams, and the healing power of laughter.

🧔 Feeling Grateful & Thankful šŸ’›

09/05/2026

Some days I get caught up in the chaos, the rushing, the deadlines, the endless hustle, and I forget to pause. To breathe. To notice the blessings already around me. The beauty in the air, the sounds that ground me, the simple gift of being here. Sunrises and sunsets remind me to slow down, to shift my perspective, and to hold gratitude close. When I stop, breathe, and give thanks, everything feels just a little lighter. šŸ’› 🧔 šŸ’› 🧔

This day was pure excitement. Penang’s city park is already beautiful, but my favorite part was seeing monkeys just roaming free, doing their monkey things. It felt like a pinch‑me moment, was I really sitting in Malaysia, watching monkeys wander around me the way squirrels do back home? Some were above me in the trees, shaking leaves down as they moved. And then… the babies. Baby monkeys! Are you kidding me? Tiny baby monkeys clinging, playing, reminding me how wild and wonderful life can be. I sat there grinning, heart full, thinking: this is why people should travel, for moments that make your heart want to dance with joy.

Optimus Prime and Bumblebee didn’t just land in Hollywood… they landed in Penang. Penang’s Autobots are part history, part pop culture, and all heart. Once towering over the Esplanade, they now stand permanently at Penang Times Square, 30‑ft Optimus and 20‑ft Bumblebee guarding the plaza near Birch House and McDonald’s. A nostalgic photo‑op, a local legend, and a reminder that even superheroes know Penang is worth visiting.

Grocery shopping in Penang, Malaysia. When you stay a little longer in one place, even something as ordinary as picking up groceries becomes part of the adventure. The longer you linger, the more you realize that everyday living is part of the experience. It reminds you that travel isn’t only about landmarks and thrills, it’s also about learning how people live day to day.

Not every day is painted in color.
Not every moment bursts with vibrance or grandeur.
Sometimes life feels quieter, softer, shaded in black and white.
And in those moments, the beauty isn’t in the spectacle, but in the stillness.
It’s less about where I am, and more about what I feel.
Because even in simplicity, there’s connection.
Even in silence, there’s meaning.
Sincerely, Taking Time ~Travel

I was excited to walk beneath the umbrellas. What started in Ɓgueda, Portugal back in 2011 has now become a global tradition, streets draped in color, light, and joy. I think they are spectacular. I’d love to wander through as many of these umbrella streets and light‑draped alleyways as possible, because each one feels like its own little celebration of beauty and wonder. I love all the street art.

I set out looking for tea… and maybe got a little side‑tracked along the way. Now I’ve got a list of places to explore later. But yes, I did find tea, and it was delicious.
