🎣🔥 100 POUNDS OF PURE FISHING INSANITY! 🔥🎣

A FISH STORY WE'LL BE TELLING FOR YEARS!

Meet Randy Fisher and his MONSTER 100-pound halibut! 🐟💪

What started as a regular bottom fishing trip in 2022 turned into one of the most unforgettable days we've ever had aboard Port Orford Fishing Charters!

We were fishing in about 120 feet of water, targeting 3–5 pound rockfish. Randy happened to be using the lightest rod and reel setup on the boat, with nothing more than a 4 oz diamond jig.

Then things got interesting...

Randy hollered that he was snagged on the bottom and needed some help. I grabbed his rod, freed the snag, and handed it back.

Not even a moment later, Randy said, "I'm snagged again!"

I grabbed his line and gave it a couple of good, hard pulls to break it loose.

THEN THE BOTTOM PULLED BACK! 😳🎣

That's when we realized this wasn't the ocean floor we were fighting!

What followed was 45 minutes of pure adrenaline, a whole lot of breath-holding, and some serious determination. Every minute we wondered if that light tackle would hold up.

And somehow, against all odds, we got that giant halibut into the boat!

🏆 100 POUNDS! RANDY'S BIGGEST HALIBUT AND THE BIGGEST HALIBUT WE'VE EVER LANDED ON OUR BOAT!

Think about that for a second. We were using gear designed to catch little 3–5 pound rockfish, and Randy landed a 100-pound halibut!

Sometimes the best fishing stories are the ones nobody could have planned.

Congratulations, Randy! You earned every pound of that fish, and you gave all of us a memory we'll never forget!

🎣🐟 A LEGENDARY ROGUE RIVER CHINOOK SALMON! 🏆

August 31, 2002 — A Day in Rogue River Fishing History!

On August 31, 2002, angler Steve Perry landed an absolute MONSTER Chinook salmon from Oregon's legendary Rogue River in Gold Beach Oregon!

🔥 The incredible catch:

🎣 Official Weight: 66.5 POUNDS!
📏 Length: Approximately 50 inches
📍 Location: Gold Beach, Oregon
📅 Date: August 31, 2002

This massive Chinook was reported as the first 60-pound salmon taken from the Rogue River since the early 1970s!

That same season, more than 750 salmon weighing over 30 pounds were weighed in at Jot's Resort, including 16 giants exceeding 50 pounds!

Imagine battling a 66.5-pound king salmon on the Rogue River! 🤯💪

🏆 Steve Perry's incredible catch remains a remarkable piece of Rogue River fishing history and a reminder of the giant Chinook that made this river legendary.
