This Sunday 9/20—the final Great Gatsby Boat Tour of the season—we are presenting a free jazz show on the boat with Angler Fleet. The start time is 1:00 p.m. and we sail at 2:00. Bring your friends and picnic baskets, and enjoy the Manhattan-based Eric Hoffman Trio. Enjoy jazz outdoors on Inspiration Wharf; then cruise for 2 hours on Manhassett Bay & the Long Island Sound, seeing the real-world locations of the Great Gatsby.

So great to chat with Cindie our next door neighbor owner of Fathoms Hotel & Marina - the place we recommend all visitors to stay in Port Washington. It’s in a historic spot where the Knickerbocker Yacht Club was located. Check out this boutique hotel with stunning views of Manhasset Bay. The hotel is next door to Inspiration Wharf. If you’re coming to town to take our boat tour, you can stay at the Fathoms.

I have unfortunate news this morning about Sunday Aug. 30 Gatsby Boat Tour. The boat was taken out of service for routine maintenance, and unfortunately the correct replacement parts were not available in time. As a result, the boat will remain out of service through the weekend.

Those with tickets purchased will be offered a full refund, or can be rebooked on the next Gatsby tours on Sept. 13 or Sept. 20, our Fall Foliage Cruise on Sunday, Oct. 25, 2:00 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 1, 2:00 p.m.

I am so sorry to have to cancel the tour because of maintenance issues; this has never happened before. Please accept our apologies, and we hope to see you again on a future boat tour.
