So much of what we do in the aftermath of divorce is trying to minimize what we went through. We qualify it and explain it. We tell people "it wasn't that bad" or "I'm fine" or "at least..."

But your story has weight. Years. Sacrifice. Identity. Love that was real, even if the marriage ended.

The first step of the HELD Method is Honor Your Story - not to stay there, but to stop pretending it didn't cost you something.

You are allowed to acknowledge what was lost. That is the beginning of healing.

Save this post and share it with a woman who needs to hear it today.

I want to give you something.

It’s a free 5-minute somatic grounding practice I created specifically for women healing after divorce. It’s designed to help your nervous system find its footing on the days when the ground feels unsteady.

No fluff. No toxic positivity. Just a simple, body-based tool you can use at home, on your lunch break, or in the car before you walk into a difficult situation.

It’s completely free. You can grab it right here: https://therizegirl.com/somatic-practice

And if you’ve already downloaded it, I’d love to hear what came up for you when you tried it. 💬

Let’s talk about something that doesn’t get discussed enough in the divorce healing space: the body’s role in grief.

Most healing advice focuses on mindset — reframing your thoughts, staying positive, choosing gratitude. And while those things have their place, they often skip over the fact that grief lives in the body, not just the mind.

Tightness in the chest. Heaviness in the limbs. The exhaustion that sleep doesn’t fix. That’s your nervous system holding what your heart hasn’t been able to release yet.

Somatic practices. Gentle, body-based tools. Give that held grief somewhere to go. Not to force it out, but to create enough safety that it can move on its own.

This is the foundation of the HELD Method™, and it’s what I walk women through in my work.

Can I share something with you?

After my marriage ended, I kept waiting to feel like myself again. I thought if I just gave it enough time, the woman I used to be would come back.

But here’s what I eventually realized: she wasn’t coming back. And that wasn’t a tragedy, it was an invitation.

The woman on the other side of this isn’t a lesser version of who you were. She’s someone you haven’t fully met yet.

If you’re in that in-between place right now, not who you were, not yet sure who you’re becoming, you belong here. This space was made for exactly this season.

💬 Where are you in your journey today? You can be as specific or as vague as you’d like. I’m just glad you’re here.

When you stop holding everything together, something in you may collapse first.
That isn’t failure.

Some women don’t feel relief when it’s over. They feel blank. That’s still a response.

After everything, the body doesn’t want answers.
It wants less.

3 Apps To Download Before Your Next Trip

Save this post for later! 📌

✈️ Packing Pro
Packing isn’t my favorite task, and probably not yours, either.

Luckily, this app helps lighten the load by streamlining the process. You can easily create a packing list based on the length of your trip, destination, and climate of your destination, or customize it to your specific needs. Once you’ve finalized your list, you can either print it out or access it right from your phone.

✈️ Bimble
How many times have you been recommended a restaurant, bar, or bookstore only to forget what it was a day later? Bimble works as a bookmarking and list-making system so that you can keep track of all the places you hear about, then recommend them to others. It’s a great excuse to chat with people on your travels and note down their suggestions.

✈️ Urbs
If you love a walking tour, Urbs is a must. It’s like a little tour guide you can carry around in your pocket. it has over 500 audio descriptions written by cultural experts with details on the history of some of the most-visited cities. Local writers also recommend hundreds of places to eat, drink, and shop. You can plan a route that includes all the spots you want to try out or learn about and adjust it to your travel needs.

Do you have any apps I should add to this list?

Summer nights are the best nights! ☀️🌙

Whether you`re spending time with loved ones, enjoying the great outdoors, or getting some much-needed relaxation, there`s nothing quite like a summer evening.

Personally, I love to take a stroll on the beach or sit on the porch (yes, like an old lady 👩‍🦳 )And if there's live music,🎶 that makes it even better!

How do you like to spend your summer nights? 🌜

Do you have a favorite outdoor activity, a go-to🥂summer cocktail, or a book that you can't put down?
