Whoâs 51 and rode every ride at Universal Kids Resort yesterday? This genie right here đđťââď¸
I really enjoyed the day I spent at the park. Team members were so friendly and several went out of their way to share information about the park. Every area seemed to have an abundance of team members. Attendance appeared really low and almost all rides were a âwalk-onâ.
Some kinks were noticeable. When I asked for a price menu at the beer cart, I was told theyâre not writing the prices down, because they fluctuate and they havenât pinned down a price yet. So I asked how much they cost today and I was told $10-$13. When I visited the sweet shop, Tienda de Dulces, I was told the prices for treats in the case were 25% off and I wondered if those prices were undetermined as well.
Visiting a first aid center, I had a very pleasant conversation with an EMT. He explained some features of the center. They have a variety of medications including EpiPens and aspirin. He said there were private rooms that could be used for breastfeeding and thereâs a baby changing station.
How do I rate the rides?
S Tier
* Bobbing Barrels
* Belo Bay Cruise
A Tier
* Jurassic World: Cretaceous Coaster
B Tier
* Belo Bay Golfcart Derby
* Rhondaâs Trollfest Express
* Shrek & Fionaâs Happily Ogre After
* Swings over Del Mar
* Mr. DNAâs Double Helix Spin
* Pteranodrop
* Jellyfish Fields Jamboree
C Tier
* Hair in the Clouds
* Barnacle Bus
D Tier
* Mrs. Puffâs Boating School
It doesnât really matter how I rate the rides though. They were not made for my age demographic. Where I give Shrekâs ride a B for leaving cars waiting in the sun, I saw a small boy crying because he didnât want to exit the ride. It was clearly ranked S tier for him.
I was able to watch Trollstastic: Concert Countdown. This show brings high energy and invites kids to come down to dance in front of the stageâŚand they LOVED IT!
And now for the biggest concern on everyoneâs list - the temperature! Yes, itâs hot. I found most wait lines have a breeze or fans under a shaded cover. There are several splash pads and water rides.
Overall, I did not get overheated. However, the backsides of my legs were burning on Pteranodropâs plastic seats. There were people spraying seats on Jellyfish Fields Jamboree and I believe solutions for other rides will be found.
There were giggles throughout the day. There are way more positives than negatives. Would I recommend Universal Kids Resort to my friends and clients?
Absolutely.
